* Original albums or tapes can be transferred to CD providing they are original purchases and for your own use, it is illegal to make copies of copyrighted material for profit or distribution. Video tapes can be transferred to DVD providing they do not infringe any copyright laws.
Artwork from covers cannot be reproduced on the CD without infringing copyright, therefore, whilst CD’s can be labelled with the contents they will not be provided with any imagery.
You must retain the original album or cassette to prove you have rights to the digital reproduction.
The reproduced media will be as good as the source, whilst some “cleaning” of the sound can be done to remove noise from a scratches etc. on an album this is not always possible.
